Letting You In

I wish I didn’t.

Please don’t disturb someone’s peace if you are at war with yourself. You are doing so much more damage than you realize. You’re bleeding all over people who had nothing to do with how you got hurt. It’s so toxic and incredibly unfair.

*PSA … if you can’t date someone who worries about if you’re going die, please stay far away from a widow.

No matter how much I try to prepare someone before we date, it’s not enough. I set the stage so there are no surprises. It never works. There is a certain element of ‘crazy’ that goes hand in hand with tragic loss. Some people get it, but most don’t.

We are WIDOWED. Someone we loved was ripped from our lives. We are literally scared all of the time of the very worst happening, because in our world, it already has. We worry more. We stress more. We care more. We’ve LOST more. We love more.

The flip? We also know how to live without someone.

Easy peasy.
